
Ruthann Traylor

rtraylor@cmaprinceton.orgOriginally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ruthann earned a BA in the arts from Calvin College and New Jersey City University and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at Rutgers University, with expected graduation in May 2026.
She brings a rich background in the human services and nonprofit sectors. Her experience includes serving as a therapeutic art facilitator at Sloan Kettering, a program manager at Catholic Charities, and the director of ArtSpace and SewingSpace at HomeFront. Throughout her career, Ruthann has focused on the intersection of creativity and healing, introducing art as a powerful tool for self-expression, reflection, and recovery.
At the Center for Modern Aging Princeton (CMAP), Ruthann draws on her strengths in relationship-building and resource connection to support older adults in living with independence and purpose. Guided by her belief in the value of art and community, she looks forward to facilitating creative groups that foster connection, joy, and meaningful engagement.
Ruthann enjoys swimming, creating art, and lifelong learning. A devoted fan of Detroit and Motown music, she embraces her motto, “Make every day count,” which reflects her commitment to living with intention, embracing each moment, and helping others do the same. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue creating, connecting, and enjoying the beauty of nature and community.
