We know a lot about older adults, because we listen
CMAP is a nonprofit organization serving aging adults and their families in the greater Princeton area. But more than that, we’re a group of people with various interests, backgrounds, experiences, and passions. We’re active, engaged, and curious members of society. Much like the people we serve.
And we discovered that if we just stop talking and listen to our community of older adults, we can learn a great deal:
We took everything we learned and put it into the new Center for Modern Aging—inspired by a new generation of older adults and inspiring to us all.
We help people embrace aging, not fear it.
We believe it’s not about passing the time, but enjoying it.
We’re never too old to experience new things.
We never outgrow human connections.
We never tell anyone to act their age.
We think more candles equate to more wisdom.
We know we have a lot to learn from our older population.
CMAP is a community nonprofit organization that exists to help older adults thrive.
We carry out this mission by offering support and guidance to older adults and their families, and by providing vital human connections, compassionate social services, dynamic lifelong learning, and meaningful volunteer opportunities that promote active, healthy, and engaged aging for adults aged fifty-five and above.
Our vision is to be an indispensable community asset for older adults and their families as they navigate the journey of aging.
CMAP envisions a world where older adults embrace aging and are valued for their wisdom, experience, and talent.
