Erin Burke holds a BA in journalism and media studies from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Their background includes internships with “TAPinto Raritan Bay” and “The Newest Olympian” podcast, as well as independent documentary and writing projects.

At the Center for Modern Aging Princeton (CMAP), Erin supports communications efforts to share stories, resources, and initiatives that highlight the organization’s mission. They are drawn to CMAP’s commitment to ensuring older adults are not left behind in a world that too often overlooks the aging population.

Erin enjoys reading, with favorite titles including “Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow” by Gabrielle Zevin, the “Shades of Magic” series by V.E. Schwab, and “I’ll Give You the Sun” by Jandy Nelson. They also love cooking, traveling with friends, spending time with their brother, and attending concerts — keeping a spreadsheet of every show they have attended since age nine. Their favorite films include “10 Things I Hate About You” and “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

Looking ahead, Erin hopes to fill their life with learning, good company, and plenty of books. They want to always seek new experiences and keep breaking out of their comfort zone, because it’s always worth it.
